The general support (EOGS) for VMware vSphere 5.5 products, which includes vSphere Hypervisor ESXi 5.5 and vCenter Server 5.5, and Site Recovery Manager 5.5 & 5.8, ends on September 19, 2018.
To maintain the full level of technical support and subscription services for updates, VMware recommends that you upgrade to vSphere 6.5, vSphere 6.7 or later. VMware has extended the general support for vSphere 6.5 to five years from the release date – until November 15, 2021.
